Keep Juuno Running on Android
If Juuno is interrupted by a screen saver, sleep mode, or the TV turning off, check your device’s screen saver and power settings. The menu names and available options vary by brand, model, and software version.
This guide is for Android TV and Google TV devices that can install Juuno, including Chromecast with Google TV.
Adjust the screen saver or Ambient mode
Open Settings from your device’s home screen. Look for one of these options:
Android TV: Device Preferences > Screen saver
Google TV: System > Ambient mode
If your device offers an Off or Never option, select it. If you can adjust when the screen saver starts, choose the longest available delay. Some devices don’t offer these settings. For example, Chromecast with Google TV doesn’t let you turn off Ambient mode or change when it starts. If you don’t see these options, skip this step and continue to Turn off sleep and power-saving timers.
Turn off sleep and power-saving timers
In Settings, look under System, Power & Energy, Energy Saver, or Device Preferences for options such as:
Put device to sleep
Shut-off timer
Sleep timer
Auto power off or Idle TV standby
Set these to Off or Never, if available, or choose the longest available time. Cancel any active sleep timer.
Check your TV’s settings too
Check your TV’s power settings too. The TV may turn off its screen even while the Fire Stick is still running. Using your TV remote, look under Settings for options like Sleep Timer, Auto Power Off, or Power Saving, and turn off any setting that’s causing the display to shut off.
Relaunch Juuno
After updating the settings, open Juuno again.
