Juuno MCP: Connect ChatGPT
Connect Juuno to ChatGPT to check information in your Juuno workspaces and, where your ChatGPT plan allows, make supported changes. ChatGPT can access only the Juuno workspaces you authorize.
Agent access is in beta testing. To request access, please contact the Juuno team.
Juuno connector address for setup: https://app.juuno.co/mcp
Before you start
Set up and use Juuno in ChatGPT on the web. Custom MCP connections are not currently available in the ChatGPT desktop or mobile apps.
You will also need a Juuno account that can access the workspace you want to use. Each person connects their own Juuno account and chooses which Juuno workspaces ChatGPT can access.
Your ChatGPT plan affects which setup options are available and whether ChatGPT can make changes:
ChatGPT plan | What to expect |
|---|---|
Business, Enterprise, or Edu | Full MCP access, including supported changes, is in beta. A ChatGPT workspace admin or owner must create and publish Juuno before workspace members can use it. |
Pro | You can create a personal connection with read access. You can ask about Juuno, but ChatGPT cannot make changes. |
Plus or Free | OpenAI’s current custom MCP guidance does not list these plans. The setup options in this guide may not appear. |
What access do I need?
Juuno connection uses the permissions of the Juuno account you sign in with. During setup, choose the Juuno workspace or workspaces you want ChatGPT to use. ChatGPT can only see or act in those selected workspaces, and only with the access your Juuno account already has.
ChatGPT workspace access and Juuno workspace access are separate
A ChatGPT workspace admin or owner may need to publish the app for the team, but this does not give ChatGPT extra access in Juuno. Each person still connects their own Juuno account.
If a Juuno workspace does not appear when you connect, ask a Juuno workspace admin to check that your account can access it.
Which ChatGPT menu should I use?
To connect to Juuno after a ChatGPT workspace admin has published it: open Settings → Plugins.
For a ChatGPT workspace admin creating and publishing Juuno: open Workspace settings → Apps → Create.
Connect Juuno after your ChatGPT workspace admin has published it
Follow these steps if Juuno is already published in your ChatGPT workspace. You will connect your own Juuno account and choose the Juuno workspace you want to use.
Open ChatGPT on the web. If you belong to more than one ChatGPT workspace, switch to the workspace where Juuno was published.
Open your profile menu, select Settings, then select Plugins.
Find Juuno. If Juuno is included inside another plugin, open that plugin instead.
Select Install plugin if ChatGPT shows that button. Then select Connect if prompted.
Sign in to Juuno using your usual sign-in method.
On the Juuno page, select the Juuno workspace or workspaces you want ChatGPT to use, then select Allow.
Return to ChatGPT and start a chat. Select the + beside the message box and choose Juuno from the available apps or plugins. You can also type @Juuno and select it from the suggestions.
Ask ChatGPT what you need. For a follow-up that needs new Juuno information or another action, select or mention Juuno again in that message.
ChatGPT may ask you to confirm before it makes a change. Check the workspace and details shown before you approve it.
Add Juuno to a ChatGPT workspace
A ChatGPT workspace admin or owner needs to do this setup for a Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace.
This is an admin role in ChatGPT; it is separate from your Juuno permissions.
Open ChatGPT on the web and switch to the ChatGPT workspace where you want Juuno to be available.
Open Workspace settings → Apps, then select Create.
If you cannot find Apps in Workspace settings, open the Admin console, select the correct workspace, open Plugins, then select Manage Legacy Apps.
If ChatGPT asks you to enable Developer mode, follow the prompt. On Business, only workspace admins and owners can use Developer mode. On Enterprise or Edu, an admin may first need to grant access.
Enter Juuno as the app name and enter this connector address: https://app.juuno.co/mcp.
If ChatGPT asks how Juuno should sign in, choose OAuth, then select Scan tools. ChatGPT will check which Juuno actions are available.
If Juuno opens a sign-in page, sign in with your own Juuno account and select the workspace or workspaces you want to use for your test connection. Select Allow. Each member will connect their own Juuno account when they use the published app.
Return to ChatGPT and wait for the tool scan to finish. Select Create.
Open Workspace settings → Apps → Drafts, select the Juuno draft, review the actions and access requested, then select Publish. Only ChatGPT workspace admins and owners can publish apps.
If ChatGPT asks who can use Juuno, make it available to the intended workspace members or groups.
Creating the draft does not make Juuno available to the team; the app must be published. After it is published, each member can connect from Settings → Plugins and authorize their own Juuno account.
Create a personal read-only connection with ChatGPT Pro
ChatGPT Pro users can create a personal connection to Juuno with read access. This connection can show information from Juuno, but it cannot make changes.
A ChatGPT workspace admin does not need to publish it for you.
Open ChatGPT on the web.
Open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode, if that option is available.
Go to Settings → Apps and select Create.
Enter Juuno as the app name and enter this connector address: https://app.juuno.co/mcp.
If asked to choose a sign-in method, select OAuth, then select Scan tools.
Sign in to Juuno if prompted. Select the Juuno workspace or workspaces you want ChatGPT to use, then select Allow.
Return to ChatGPT, wait for the tool scan to finish, then select Create.
Start a new chat and select Juuno from the + menu, or type @Juuno and choose it from the suggestions.
Keep Developer mode enabled while using a personal custom connection. If you do not see Developer mode or Create, the option may not be available for your account or plan.
Try it
With Juuno selected for your message, try asking:
“What’s playing on the lobby screen?”
“Show me the playlists in my Juuno workspace.”
“Which schedule is assigned to the lobby screen?”
“Put the dinner menu playlist on the lobby screen.”
For changes, name the workspace, screen, playlist, or schedule when you can. ChatGPT may ask you to confirm before it makes a change. Check the details before approving it.

If something isn’t working
Juuno is missing from Settings → Plugins: Check that you are in the ChatGPT workspace where Juuno was published, and ask your ChatGPT admin to confirm that you have access to the app. Also check that your ChatGPT plan supports custom MCP connections.
You do not see Developer mode or Create: These options depend on your ChatGPT plan and role. ChatGPT Pro connections are read-only. On Business, only admins and owners can use Developer mode and publish. On Enterprise or Edu, an admin may need to grant permission. OpenAI’s current custom MCP guidance does not list Plus or Free.
Your Juuno workspace is missing from the sign-in page: Make sure you signed in to the right Juuno account. Ask a Juuno workspace admin to check your access, then reconnect and select the workspace.
ChatGPT can read Juuno but cannot make a change: ChatGPT Pro connections are read-only. To use supported change actions, connect Juuno through a Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace where an admin has published it.
ChatGPT does not use Juuno in your message: Select Juuno from the + menu or mention @Juuno in the message. Custom MCP connections are available in ChatGPT on the web, not the desktop or mobile apps.
A Juuno action fails or is missing after an update: Ask your ChatGPT workspace admin to refresh the app’s available actions in Workspace settings → Apps.
Good to know
Juuno acts as the signed-in Juuno user, only in the workspace or workspaces that person selected.
Each action identifies the Juuno workspace it ran in.
A screen can play either a playlist or a schedule, but not both at the same time.
To add another Juuno workspace later, reconnect and select that workspace when prompted.
To disconnect Juuno, open Settings → Plugins, select Juuno, and choose the disconnect option. Disconnecting does not delete Juuno content.
