When Your Signage Provider Vanishes
BLANKSPACES is the longest continuously operating coworking brand in the US. It opened Southern California's first coworking space in 2008, and its founder, Jerome Chang, was even part of the push to get the hyphen dropped from "coworking" in the dictionary. Today it runs seven locations across Los Angeles, with an eighth, West Adams, opening in 2027.
Its screens used to run on a small provider that handled signage and let members cast to meeting room TVs. Then that provider went out of business and stopped answering. BLANKSPACES had to find a replacement fast.
Every option Senior Operations Manager Elizabeth Geli found was built for someone else. "We looked at so many different providers, and all of them were prohibitively expensive, prohibitively complicated, really meant for gigantic companies, huge buildings," she says. The rest were designed for restaurants and retail, assuming a static menu or a single company talking to its own staff. BLANKSPACES has neither.
Why BLANKSPACES Chose Juuno
Elizabeth needed signage that could help sell the space, not just inform staff, and that she could run alone across seven locations. Juuno was the only option that was both affordable and flexible enough.
At $5 per screen per month, BLANKSPACES could put signage everywhere, not just the lobby. Because Juuno runs in the cloud, Elizabeth manages every screen centrally, so staff at each location never need the time or design skills to update content.
Every BLANKSPACES location also serves a different neighbourhood, and Juuno lets her tailor each one without being locked into a template. "What's great about Juuno is that I can really control everything," says Elizabeth. "Juuno takes out almost all the complication and it is just so reasonably priced compared to all those other options."

"I really needed something that I could manage every location no matter where I was."

Old TVs, New TVs and Everything in Between
When BLANKSPACES opens a new location, it often inherits whatever brand and model of TVs were already on the walls, including some that have no apps or internet connection.
Elizabeth worked with the Juuno team to get Juuno onto the older screens using a plug-in player. For anything new, her rule is simple: buy a TV with the Google Play Store. "If you want me to run Juuno on a TV, just get one that runs the Google Play Store, and then we won't even need to buy a device," she says.
The night before our interview, her team installed a new Google TV at one location. After the Google sign-in and app download, it took about two minutes. She picked an existing sequence and the screen was live.

The Results: One Person, Seven Spaces
Each location gets a mix of shared and local content. Welcome screens show the Wi-Fi details, a map, the coffee and a number to call, so visitors are looked after even when nobody is at the front desk. A digital directory lists virtual office members as a membership perk or add-on, turning screen time into revenue.
Screens also rotate through every BLANKSPACES location. LA is a city of neighbourhoods, so a Venice member learns there's a space in Hollywood for their next meeting there. Events, house rules and quirky holidays fill out the mix. "It's like, 'Oh, it's National Cookie Day,' and we'll be like, 'Oh, let's go get cookies for everyone,'" says Elizabeth. BLANKSPACES deliberately leaves out news tickers, because members get enough of that on their own laptops.
Behind the scenes, sequences and shared media mean one change instead of seven, giving Elizabeth around 3 hours back every week. Inherited TVs run on a plug-in player, and new Google TVs are live in minutes.

What's Next for BLANKSPACES
BLANKSPACES opens its eighth location, West Adams, in 2027. Juuno already plays in many of its meeting rooms when they're not in use, and the team plans to try new Juuno apps as they launch.
